Editing Security Group Permissions

Security Group permissions allow users within that group to make use of WorkplaceManagement tools and features like desk booking, the 'Map' floorplan, and more.

Note - Permissions for the Admin Security Group can not be changed. 

How to Edit a Security Group's Permissions

1.Open the Sidebar Menu and select 'Security Groups'.

2. Select a Security Group in the 'Security Groups' list.

3. Uncheck or check any of the permissions in the Security Group form.

4. Uncheck or check to select pages that will be hidden from the Security Group.

5 .Select the Save button in the Security Group Settings window.

Use the following list to guide you in making security groups for your project. For example, most co-working offices that feature hot-desking will want to make Security Group for employees or visitors with the Can Book permission enabled.

Security Group Permissions:

  • Permission / Description
  • CanBook   Reserve bookable desks for self.
  • RequestMove Request desk move for self.  
  • ViewAdminFields View 'admin only' form fields.  
  • EditLockedFields Bypass any locks when editing field values. 
  • ManageEmployees Manage employee information, placements, imports/exports etc.  
  • ManageAssets  Manage asset information, placements, imports/exports etc. 
  • ManageDesks Manage desk information, placements, imports/exports etc.
  • EditFields  Add, delete, edit form fields and properties.
  • BookForOthers Reserve bookable desks for others. 
  • EditSideMenu  Add, delete, edit items in the Side Menu (floors, maps, lists etc.)
  • ApproveMove Approve move requests.
